These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Nori, including our mobile applications, website, voice features, subscriptions, connected-service integrations, and future hardware products. By using Nori, you agree to these terms.

Using Nori
You may use Nori only for lawful, personal purposes. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and any activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use Nori.
Your content
You retain ownership of the information, conversations, memories, goals, reflections, and other content you provide to Nori. By using the service, you grant Nori the limited rights necessary to store, process, and display that content in order to provide the features and functionality of the service.
AI Features and User Content
Nori provides AI-powered features that generate supportive responses, reflections, reminders, check-ins, and personalized app experiences. These features may use content you provide, including messages, memories, goals, check-ins, reflections, preferences, and emotional context. By using AI-powered features, you agree that Nori may process your content and may share it with our third-party AI provider, OpenAI, as needed to generate responses and provide app functionality. AI responses are generated automatically and may not always be accurate, complete, or appropriate. Nori is not a medical provider, therapist, crisis service, legal advisor, or financial advisor. Nori should not be used as a substitute for professional care or emergency support. If you are experiencing an emergency or crisis, contact emergency services or a qualified professional immediately. You are responsible for the content you submit and for evaluating any information provided by Nori before relying on it.
Subscriptions and billing
Nori Plus is an optional paid subscription. Payment is charged through your Apple account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple account settings. Nori does not directly manage Apple billing or refunds.
Voice, calendar, and connected features
Nori may offer voice conversations, calendar integrations, reminders, notifications, and other connected features. By using these features, you authorize Nori to process the information necessary to provide the requested functionality.
Optional connected-service integrations
Nori offers optional integrations with third-party services, currently including Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, Apple Health, and Apple Music. These integrations are optional, require your explicit permission, and are accessed on a read-only basis — Nori never modifies or deletes data in the connected provider. You may disconnect any integration and delete Nori-stored imported data at any time. Your use of these third-party services remains governed by the respective third party’s own terms of service and privacy policies, and Nori is not responsible for the practices of those third parties.
Companion Profile and memory features
Nori maintains a Companion Profile and related memory features that build an evolving, private understanding of the context you choose to share in order to personalize your experience. You retain ownership of the content you provide, and you can review, update, or delete information that shapes your Companion Profile and stored memories. These features are provided to support personalization and continuity and are not a system of record.
AI-generated summaries and content
Nori may generate summaries, reflections, insights, and other content automatically using artificial intelligence. AI-generated content may not always be accurate, complete, or appropriate, and should be reviewed before you rely on it. AI-generated summaries are intended to support reflection and personalization and do not constitute professional advice.
Wellness insights are informational only
Any wellness, mood, activity, or health-related insights Nori provides — including insights derived from optional integrations such as Apple Health — are for informational and self-reflection purposes only. They are not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional care. Always consult a qualified professional for medical or mental-health concerns.
Future hardware products
Nori may offer companion hardware products, including the Nori Pod and the Nori Clip. Additional terms, warranties, shipping policies, and product-specific conditions may apply to hardware purchases and will be provided separately when applicable.
Acceptable use
You may not misuse Nori, interfere with the operation of the service, attempt unauthorized access, violate applicable laws, infringe the rights of others, or use Nori to harass, abuse, harm, or deceive others. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Account termination
You may stop using Nori or delete your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, pose security risks, or misuse the platform.
Not medical, legal, or professional advice
Nori is an AI companion designed for reflection, accountability, personal growth, and emotional support. Nori is not a therapist, healthcare provider, lawyer, financial advisor, crisis service, or emergency service. Do not rely on Nori for medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice. If you are experiencing an emergency, contact local emergency services or a qualified professional immediately.
Disclaimer of warranties
Nori is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no guarantees regarding uninterrupted availability, accuracy, reliability, or suitability of the service for any particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nori Labs and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app, website, or other reasonable means. Continued use of Nori after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
